Community Led Housing Hub Cumbria & Lancaster

ACT is hosting the Community Led Housing Hub for Cumbria and Lancaster, providing support and access to technical expertise for groups developing new affordable homes for their communities.

For full details visit the Community Led Housing Hub Cumbria & Lancaster website

The Cumbria and Lancaster Housing Hub has been set up by a consortium of local councils:

  • Allerdale Borough Council
  • Carlisle City Council
  • Copeland Borough Council
  • Eden District Council
  • Lancaster City Council
  • South Lakeland District Council

ACT supports communities from all these areas as they progress community led housing projects, in conjunction with housing experts and relevant planning authorities, including the Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Park Authorities. We are also working with Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) to ensure that communities have access to the best advice about building with a 'one planet' ethos.
