Gov step 4 lets keep moving C19 advice

Community Buildings Covid-19 End to Plan B restrictions - Jan 2022

31st January 2022

Information surrounding Coronavirus and Covid-19 may change; ACTion with Communities in Cumbria (ACT) recommends everyone follow the latest Government guidance.

Face Coverings:

The lifting of the Government’s Plan B restrictions from 27th January means there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering in village halls and other venues.

Government guidance has been updated to reflect this, saying: Government suggests that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with people you do not normally meet.” https://www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-coronavirus-restrictions-what-you-can-and-cannot-do

Covid-19 remains a risk. It is therefore, still important to encourage those using the hall to wear a face covering in more crowded and less well-ventilated areas.

Note: Face coverings are still required in healthcare settings, including primary care (GP, dental, and eye care surgeries) and pharmacies.

ACRE Covid-19 document updates:

Self-isolation Rules:

Government Guidance has also been updated to reference the change to self-isolation rules from Monday 17 January. People with Covid-19 can end their self-isolation after 5 full days if they test negative on two consecutive days. The first test cannot be taken before day 5.
