WANTED Building Surveyors and Energy Auditors for community building contracts

ACTion with Communities in Cumbria (ACT) is looking to recruit a number of Building and Energy Surveyors to join our preferred provider A. Muir Surveying, in assisting community buildings and village halls to become more sustainable in their build and environmental management practices.
ACT runs the countywide Community Buildings Service providing advice and support to circa 350 village halls and community buildings. With significant funding from the Community Fund – National Lottery, will be commissioning a number of Building and Energy Surveys in the 2023/24 year.
A. Muir Surveying currently provide this service for us and those interested in this work can be sent a draft outline of the reports we want to commission. This work requires the skills to listen to and advise the community volunteers who run these assets, on the condition of their building fabric and possible routes for improvements, and their management practices to achieve environmental sustainability for the longer term.
Reports are to RICS standard and the Energy Audits are high level, including some LZC generation sizing. Site visits, technical reports and clear communication are needed. Providers will have qualifications and insurance to cover their activities and recommendations.
Generally this is 4 days’ work at approximately £900 one off fee.
We would like providers of both, but will consider those who can offer building surveys or Energy Audits as well.
