Save The Date - Presentation of the research results on the Appetite to travel differently in and around the Lake District
24th October 2023
ACTion with Communities in Cumbria is working with the Lake District National Park Partnership (LDNPP) asking a wide range of people about their views on transport in the Lake District and especially people's appetite for change. We started from the perspective that change is necessary, due to - frustrations of visitors and locals, carrying capacity of the services, and the longer-term impact on the environment that visitors – both local and wider come to see. But we recognise that change will be gradual due to resources and therefore needs a longer-term vision.
This is the presentation of the results of 300 interviews conducted on the street, and over 1,000 responses to an online survey, and research ACTion with Communities in Cumbria have been running for the Lake District National Park Partnership. We will present results from an online meeting held last October with expert input, face to face and online surveys this summer, discussion groups and a YouGov poll.
Come and hear the results and contribute ideas to Action Planning for delivery on 24th November 9.30am – 11.00am, online via zoom. Please book your place here
