Is there a co-working space near you?
22nd September 2023
Northumbria University is currently attempting to map the availability of co-working spaces around the region to inform and steer some research due to take place later this year.
Google define co-working as: “the use of an office or other working environment by people who are self-employed or working for different employers, typically so as to share equipment, ideas, and knowledge.”
Co-working spaces could be in business or enterprise centres, cafes, village halls and community buildings, sports centres or any other venue.
Most co-working spaces tend to be city-based, but we are keen to make sure that any rurally-based co-working spaces are included in the research. If you are aware of any in Cumbria, please email Dr Gary Bosworth at Northumbria University at gary.bosworth@northumbria.ac.uk.
