What is the Local Plan for the Lake District and why is it important?

Online via Zoom

Starts: Tue 25th November 2025, 6.00 pm

Ends: Tue 25th November 2025, 7.30 pm

Do you know what the Local Plan is? Or why it’s significant for your community now and in the next ten years?

ACT and members of the Lake District National Park Authority Planning team aim to answer these questions, and more, at this FREE public session. The Local Plan review is taking place next year, so we will explore:

· How decisions and policies are made

· How you can get involved in shaping the next plan

· What the Local Plan means for future development decisions

· What the Local Plan does no have control over

Everyone is welcome to attend this event, which will have a particular relevance to parishes and communities in the North and Central Lakes areas. Come along if you are interested in planning or want to understand it better, if you are a parish or community representative or if you can see how the Local Plan could work better for you.

This is a free event, but registration is essential and must be completed by 3.30pm on Monday 24th November in order to guarantee your place at the event.
