Come and join us at our next Community Buildings Event where we will be discussing Safeguarding and Village Halls.
Village hall committees have an important part to play in creating safe spaces for members of their community, especially when it comes to protecting younger or more vulnerable people. The committee may not work directly with children or adults at risk, but it is responsible for the contracts it makes with hirers.
Everyone has a responsibility to: look out for others; know where to find help; and to have Safeguarding policies and procedures in place to support this. Find out more about how your committee can do this at our next event.
Community Buildings events are free of charge and open to all Cumbria's Community Building / Village Hall committee members. Registration is essential and must be completed by midday on the Friday before in order to guarantee your place.
For security reasons the Teams weblink will be emailed to you on the day. You won't be able to share the link with others, so if you’re aware of someone else that wishes to attend, please request that they register themselves. You can also submit questions when you register.
On the day we operate a waiting room system to join the meeting. Please join us from 9.45am to allow for this so we can begin promptly at 10am
