CANCELLED Rural Connectivity Challenges and Commitments Event with Simon Fell MP

Simon Fell MP, Rural Connectivity Champion

Ulverston Victoria High School

Starts: Thu 13th June 2024, 5.00 pm

UPDATE 23 May 2024: Owing to the announcement yesterday of a July 4th election, we are cancelling this MP event and apologize for any inconvenience this causes. We will release further information soon.

ACT is working with Simon Fell MP who is the national Rural Connectivity Champion, and several community groups around concerns on the changes from landline to digital phone lines.

This event, on the 13th June with Simon and various digital providers will discuss the challenges and commitments to rural communities on digital phone connections. We will have speakers presenting the challenges, and some presenting solutions. There will also be an opportunity for (pre entered) questions from the floor.

We hope to explore the commitment to rural areas and clarify what it means and how we can best use it to ensure rural communities feel heard and safe.

You can attend in person, 8th - 16th June is Great Big Green Week, so we are encouraging attendance by public transport or car sharing, or you can join online.

You must book to attend this event so please reserve your place by completing the booking form
