Not planning to re-open until Step 4? Will it be ‘business as normal’?
This seems unlikely. The Government’s roadmap says the intention is "the removal of all legal limits on social contact" at Step 4 (May 17 at the earliest) which indicates that the ‘rule of 6 or two households’ will be relaxed.
However, the Roadmap also says: "We are going to have to keep living our lives differently to keep ourselves and others safe....". Consequently, we must anticipate that certain Covid-19 secure measures will continue for some time, such as: Covid-19 risk assessment; wearing face coverings; use of hand sanitiser or washing hands regularly; cleaning frequently used surfaces between hire; special conditions of hire. If social distancing requirements were also to remain in place (2m or 1m with mitigation) that would also affect capacity limits for certain events or venues.
Even if you don’t plan to re-open until after Step 4, it’s advisable to start to plan now, take note of the ACRE information and template documents for use.
