Description of Hall and village: Musgrave Parish institute is 84 years old. It is the only remaining social meeting place in the parish which consists of Great Musgrave, Little Musgrave and Flitholme. Recent repairs have been carried out to the outside front and sides and indoor work has been done to woodwork to elimnate draughts etc. The village is a farming community. It has a charming church, St Theobald's which is situated near the River Eden. We have an annual Rush Bearing event which has the tradition of girls carrying crowns of flowers and boys carrying crosses made of rushes. This is always held the first Saturday in July. After the church service tea is served in the Hall.
