Description of Hall and village: The Hall is named after Rev F G Nichols who was Rector of Newton Reigny from 1909 to 1913. His widow was present at the dedication of the hall which was built in 1912. The village of Newton Reigny can be traced back to the one time owner of the manor William de Reigny in 1187. The village is in the Parish of Catterlen and separated from Catterlen by the River Peterill. Catterlen can be traced back to William the Conquerer. There is one pub, the Sun Inn.
