Development Officer for West Cumbria
ACT champions community and rural issues and supports communities to: Plan for their future, Develop Projects, Work with others, and Influence and change policy.
Due new funding we are looking to appoint a West Cumbria Development Officer for 22hrs per week, working within our small team, based in Penrith.
This is community development work - assisting people and groups to develop their potential, organise themselves and improve the quality of life in their community. The postholder will be based at our offices in Penrith, answering email and phone queries, developing resources and proactively encouraging communities to develop projects. ACT is a flexible employer and has mobile working arrangements. There are frequent evening commitments for which time off in lieu is taken.
