Communities are being urged to come forward with projects which improve the health or well-being of their residents as a two year grant programme comes to a close in March. Over £212,000 has been awarded to projects so far but there is still time to apply for a grant to support activity in your local area.
ACTion with Communities in Cumbria (ACT) will be out and about next week helping people to cut their energy bills as part of Big Energy Saving Week.
As the rising cost of living continues to put pressure on household budgets, ACT is providing free advice to help consumers save energy, cut their bills and get all the support they are entitled to. On Wednesday 29th January, ACT will be at Newbiggin Village Hall Community Café, 2pm till 4pm, and at the Penton Exchange in Nicholforest Village Hall, 1pm till 4pm.
